Ramsay Swedish noble family nr 215 (there was an unintroduced baronical Ramsay also) Hans/John/Joan Ramsay came to Sweden 1573 from Scotland and he was a descendant of the Ramsay of Dalhousie family with known ancestors from the 11th century. The Ramsay family was introcuced in Sweden due to a recommendation letter from 1623. Copies of this can be found in the Swedish National Arcive and in Bamff Charters. Hans was sent to the Baltic countries to fight against the Russians and he returned 1577 to Finland (at that time part of Sweden) Hans is said to have been born 1549 and died in Ihanmäki 1650. The date of birth is probably later. He came from the branch of Ramsay of Balnabreich. He was given land in Finland (Ihanmäki in Somero). His descendants still live in Finland and Sweden. In Finland the family is nr 17 in the list of nobles and nr 40 in the list of barons. For more info see www.rammac.eu and Ramsay In the seventeenth century Henrik Ramsay got the baronical title from the Swedish King who even approved the new coat of arms with four "fields". The named John Ramsay has nothing to do with the "black" James Ramsay the defender of Hanau (1589-1639) 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Ramsay, unintroduced baronial」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
